Germany-based operator Wintershall has suspended plans to install a new gas platform in the UK southern North Sea.
With industry sources having suggested that work on the scheme had been halted, the company confirmed this week that it has decided to postpone the second phase of development at the Wingate field.
A spokesperson told Upstream: “The Wingate second phase development has been temporarily postponed as we examine the best execution of the project in light of the current and future gas price development.
