Amy Jones, a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy, was hired by Pride as a third assistant engineer. She claims she volunteered to share quarters with other female employees on the newbuild Deep Ocean Clarion as it was brought to the Americas from South Korea in May 2010.

But management with Pride, which was acquired by Ensco in May 2011, refused the request and later terminated her employment in August 2010, contends the suit, which was filed on 22 December in Louisiana.
