Members of the Unite and RMT unions employed by Wood Group on Shell’s UK North Sea installations have voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action in a dispute over pay and conditions.
The Unite and RMT unions said the results of a ballot announced mid-week “returned a massive majority supporting industrial action”.
Union officials were due to start consultations with workers as Upstream went to press over “the timing and the nature of the action”.
