The co-owners are operator Woodside on 33.33%, BHP Billiton with 16.67%, BP on 16.67%, Chevron with 16.67% and Japan Australia LNG (MiMi) on 16.67%.
The field being looked at for development is Egret, located about 15 kilometres from the joint venture’s FPSO Okha, which produces oil at the Wanaea-Cossack fields.
Contingent resources at Egret are understood to be about 12 million barrels of oil equivalent, based on Woodside’s calculation five years ago when it purchased Shell’s North West Shelf oil interests, including its equity in Wanaea-Cossack and Egret.
