Woodside Petroleum has chartered a pair of drillships from Diamond Offshore Drilling for work off Senegal, where the Australian independent and its partners are closing in on the sanction of the SNE oilfield development.
The operator has taken the Ocean BlackRhino and Ocean BlackHawk, each for periods of a year or more and both with extension options.
The BlackHawk will arrive first in Senegal, starting for Woodside in the fourth quarter of 2020 for a firm period of three years.
