Argentina's YPF is starting pre-commissioning work on the Tango floating liquefied natural gas unit, owned by Belgian contractor Exmar.

However, delays in starting this process mean it is unlikely to be used until after the southern hemisphere winter season.

The FLNG barge, which has capacity to produce up to 2.2 million tonnes per annum of LNG, arrived at the Bahia Blanca terminal in February and is intended to pave the way for future LNG export projects on a grander scale.
