South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries on 6 February resumed operations at its Ulsan yard, where work had been stopped following a fatal accident.
The Busan Regional Employment & Labour Office had issued a stop work order while safety checks were carried out after a worker died after suffering severe burns.
Work resumed on Tuesday this week at the offshore and marine fabricator’s facility for the first time since the 25 January incident.
