AUSTRALIA’S WorleyParsons has landed a prized front-end engineering and design contract from Qatar Petroleum (QP) for phase 1B of its multi-billion dollar Bul Hanine offshore field redevelopment.
“The FEED for phase 1B has been awarded to WorleyParsons and the contractor is expected to carry out the study over the next five to six months,” a source said.
The workscope is said to involve five topsides for wellhead platforms, subsea pipelines, umbilicals and modifications to existing facilities.
