Well-placed industry sources said WorleyParsons has beaten Canadian rival SNC-Lavalin and AMEC of the UK to win the service deals that centre on the Mackay River and Dover developments.

At Mackay River, WorleyParsons will provide engineering and procurement services for PetroChina to build well pad facilities under a 14-month contract.

The second job, at Dover, is for earlier stage work. WorleyParsons has signed a design basis memorandum, which involves the initial design of the field development before full front-end engineering and design work begins.
