US independent Chesapeake Energy is looking to boost activity in Wyoming's Powder River basin this year, where it will add one rig as soon as next month and potential another on top, writes Caroline Evans.
The company is currently running three rigs in the basin and plans to add a fourth in April. Executive vice president for exploration and production Frank Patterson said Chesapeake would also look to add a fifth as fast as possible.
