The company said that Canada has long been home to "side-by-side" camps, or temporary housing located on or near rig sites. PTI currently operates about 250 such camps in Canada.
"Historically the oil and gas industry in the US hasn't done things the way they do them in Canada because the bulk of activity was located near small towns where employees could rent homes or motels.
