London-based Xodus Group has been awarded contracts by Cairn Energy and Woodside Energy for work on the Rufisque-Sangomar-Sangomar Deep (RSSD) blocks — which host the 563 million barrel SNE oil discovery — in Senegal.

For Edinburgh-based Cairn, Xodus will carry out environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) work for drilling activities in the Sangomar and Rufisque blocks.

For Australia's Woodside, the contractor will undertake ESIA studies for the first-phase development of SNE, comprising a floating production, storage and offloading vessel moored in the Sangomar Deep block.
