Malaysia’s Yinson Holdings has enlisted the Chinese shipyard Huarun Dadong Dockyard to do upgrade work on the floating production, storage and offloading vessel bound for the Layang oil and gas development off Sarawak, writes Russell Searancke.
Yinson recently finalised a contract novation agreement for the Layang project whereby it has replaced TH Heavy Engineering as the FPSO contractor.
Yinson will use its own existing Four Rainbow FPSO, which is required to be ready for service in late 2019.
