Argentina’s YPF is in advanced talks with Exmar of Belgium about possible charter terms to put 'the first barge-based floating liquefied natural gas liquefaction and storage facility' to work in the port of Bahia Blanca.
YPF has emerged as a likely customer for the new-built Caribbean FLNG vessel, concluded last year by Chinese contractor Wison Offshore & Marine.
The vessel uses Black & Veatch technology on a single train on-board liquefaction unit with capacity to produce 500,000 tonnes per year of LNG.
