The semi-submersible Noble Paul Wolff suffered what the owner has called a "ballast control incident" while drilling in the Campos basin off the coast of Rio de Janeiro on 28 February.
"Since the incident, the rig has experienced operational downtime at zero dayrate and is expected to remain at zero dayrate through completion of rig recovery and well abandonment procedures," Noble said in its latest fleet status report.
